Water Line Installation Needs the Professional Touch
Installing a new water line starts at the construction phase, when a new building is going up and the plumbing system needs to be carefully aligned with the incoming water. This is one of the simpler operations when it comes to water line services, since digging is part and parcel of home construction, and you’re not disrupting anything by laying the line down.
However, it still needs to be performed properly, or else it will create problems from the start, and the notoriously fickle local weather may wreak havoc with what should be a straightforward operation. A skilled plumbing service partnered with your construction company can ensure the water line is installed correctly.
Water Line Replacement Can Be Done Much Easier Today
Replacing a water line used to take as much effort and time as an original installation. It required heavy equipment to dig up sand and extra workers to assist. We, however, use special directional boring technology to replace water lines, and this cuts through all those troubles to produce fast and effective results. With directional drilling, we first establish a pilot hole above ground, and a bore head enters it at an angle. The bore head drills the full pilot hole, and pipe sections are added to complete the hole.
Then a reamer is attached and pulled through the line to clear away soil to expand the first hold to more than a quarter larger than the new pipe that’s going to be inserted. The new pipeline is then inserted and connected to the two ends. The old water line is bypassed, and you have a water line in place.
Trenchless Water Line Repair Is a Snap in Cincinnati, OH
We use the same direction drilling trenchless technique to handle water line repair jobs. First using a tiny video camera, we can get an insider’s view of whatever problem your water line has. If we do discover a breach, we can insert a liner into the water line, much the same way we insert a new line into the ground. We move the liner along through the pipe to the exact location of the breach. Then the liner seals onto the pipe to patch up the leak. No need to do any digging at all!
